Mist eliminator is also known as gas-liquid filter mesh, wire mesh demisters, demister pad, or knitted wire mesh pad filter. It is made of knitted wire mesh used in the gas-liquid separation and mist removing devices. It can also be used in construction for the electromagnetic shielding.

Knitted Wire Mesh – Basic Material for Processing of Mist Eliminators and Demister Pad:
Material Uses: Knitted wire mesh can be made in metal or nonmetal wires:
1) Metal wire: Stainless steel wire, galvanized wire, copper wire, brass wire, nickel wire, titanium wire, alloy wire;
2) Non-metallic wire: polyethylene filaments, polypropylene, polytetrafluoroethylene yarn, glass fiber yarn.

Woven Style: Single wire, double wire, multi-strand wire weaving.

Three Standard Forms of Knitted Wire Mesh, Material for Mist Eliminators: standard, high penetration and high efficient forms.

Wire Diameter Applied for Mist Eliminator (Demister Pad): φ0.07mm - 0.55mm round wire or pressed into a flat wire (common wire diameter: 0.20mm-0.25mm). Wires with wire diameter ≤ φ0.30mm can be made in multi-strand weaving. The multi-strand wire can be mixed by polyester and metal wire.

Mesh Size, Opening Size: From (2 × 3mm) to (4 × 5mm) and then to (12 × 6mm). Slight adjustment can be made to the opening sizes.

Opening Form: Big opening and small opening (The opening has the same sizes in the longitudinal direction while different in the width).

Mesh Width Range: 40mm, 80mm, 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 300mm, 400mm, 500mm, 600mm, 800mm, 1000mm, 1200mm, 1400mm and etc.

Mesh Shape: Flat Type and corrugated. (Width and depth of the corrugations have different specifications).

The knitted wire mesh mist eliminators can be processed into pads of several types: Fitted round demister pad, round demister pad, rectangular wire mesh demister, multi-block circular demister pad, drawer-type wire mesh demister, wave wire mesh demister pad.
